Assistant Manager Vacancy

We are currently recruiting for an experienced enthusiastic individual with the capabilities of managing the venue in the absence of the General Manager. You will possess the desired qualities of exceptionally high standards of service along with outstanding customer service skills.

Salary: CIRCA £21k – £24k depending on experience (with very competitive benefits)

Principle Accountabilities

To maintain food and service quality and consistency in line with company standards.
To uphold standards of quality, presentation and cleaning throughout
To ensure that the business is proactively managed and staffed accordingly.
To ensure that all equipment is used correctly and maintained correctly in compliance with all hygiene and safety regulations and company procedures.
To manage and communicate with customers in a prompt and professional manner
To deal with customer complaints effectively.
To carry out any reasonable task asked of you by the management team
To delegate tasks in the appropriate manner to the other members of the team
To be punctual and presentable to the highest standards
To assist in the monitoring and ensure thorough checking of linen/food/liquor deliveries
To assist in the control usage of chemical and consumable products (COSHH)
To understand business levels and performance against budgets dictated by the financial periods.
To ensure all staff receive regular and prompt briefings/training in compliance with company standards and where applicable by law, i.e. ensure the staff comply with all legislation regarding Health and Safety, Hygiene and Licensing.
To motivate staff teams to establish channels of communication for all company and operational information
To ensure cascade of information through holding regular briefings for staff
To ensure that all staff have clear objectives/ direction, and are adequately managed
To maintain staff disciplines and take appropriate action where necessary in accordance with the company policies.
To assist in ensuring the security of the premises, stock and cash.
To monitor maintenance of premises and equipment on a regular basis and report recommended action to Chester Race Company
To take responsibility for treasury management, communicating effectively with the accounts department following company procedures
